Dear All… (The Spaces Between Us)
Dear All,
We’re busy preparing for QyT’s very first public arts project, as this week we head to the city of Chester for Up the Wall festival.
This is proving to be a very exciting (if a tad stressful) time for us and we can’t wait to present the footage from our trip to the Wales/England border.
Those of you following us on Twitter or Facebook might already have spotted some of the snippets of text from the film, which Sheena has been posting as she frantically edits all the footage. In case you’ve been missing them, here’s a few gems from the border…
On the border: “You’re not sure whether you’re here or there… It’s quite nice… That sort of inbetween…”
On the invisible: “It’s amazing what you don’t see…”
On crossings: “Nothing happens to me when I cross the border… My heart does not beat for one side or the other…”
On love: “It’s where you look for it… And where you find it… I found it in England…”
On no-man’s land: “Hinterland… Neverland… You’re neither in one country or the other… Thats what I like…”
The Spaces Between Us will be open to the public from 6.30pm until 9pm on 21st & 22nd October 2011. Audiences can book an ‘entrance time’ to see the work…
